Live Steam Stanley, USA 1907 scale 1:18

The Stanley twins, F.E. and F.O. from Newton, Mass, produced in    1897 more than 200 Stanley Light Steam Cars. The 8 hp model was capable of speeds up to 27 mph / 43 kmh and sold for $ 750,00.  In 1898, A. L. Barber and J. B. Walker purchased the manufacturing rights to the vehicle for $ 250,000. In 1908 the Stanley Speedy Roadster was capable of 60 mph / 96 kmh and would run for over 50m / 80 Km on a filling water. Thousands of Stanleys' were built until production ended in 1927.
