The Stirling 5 Stirling Engine.
Available in finished & kit form.

     
 

 
  This powerful Stirling engine produced in horizontal construction format from brass, stainless steel, & glass.

Speed is regulated to between 90-500 rpm using an adjustable brake.

Driven parts can be moved via the pulley.

It is possible to transform the “Stirling 5” into both a traction engine (running on the ground) and an No 1, 45 mm gauge locomotive in only a few simple steps. A music box may be added to produce music.

Length: 210 mm. Width: 70 mm. Height: 120 mm.  Weight 460 g. Working piston Ø: 18 mm. Displacement piston Ø:  27 mm.

  The individual components to enable the “Stirling No. 5” engine into a traction engine are screwed to the baseplate and instructions for construction are shown pictorially.

The “Stirling No. 5” runs on the ground, either with or without music from the box.
